Concrete Poem

Running and playing
Never stoping
Always whining and wanting
Loving
Crazy
Caring
Always there
And so so loud
Cute and Cuddly
Sneaky and Naughty
Love my Cat

Persona Poem

I never get tired of playing games
Scrolling through instagram
And sending snapchats
I'm so thankful for my yellow cover
I've been dropped
And dropped again
But I'm not broken or cracked
Sometimes my brain gets cluttered,
Remembering that the alarm needs to go off
And recalling all the notes written in me
But my favorite part of all,
Is getting to play Pandora every morning

Wrestling Poem

When I walk into
The practice room
I see the sweaty boys
There is so much noise
And I wait...
For Ty to check his weight
One more ounce
He will announce
Then he runs
With the others
That are like brothers
And I keep sitting
And drifting
Just wanting the meet to be here
So I can here the moms cheer
Why can't wrestling be here?

Nebraska Poem

Where does a lot of beef come from?
Nebraska
Where do a lot of corn and soybeans come from?
Nebraska
It doesn't just come
We have to work
Kids
Teens
Adults
Elders
We work together
To get it done
Up early
To bed late
We get it done
We get it done right
That's what Nebraskan's do

5 Senses Poem

Summer

Warm breezes and cool water touch my skin
Sweet fruity smells flat in the air
Laughter and happy screams echo
My teeth sink into a juicy burger my dad just grilled
I watch the cows graze in the grassy green pasture

Found Poem

A Jewish boy
In a small town
Free and full of joy
Compassion in his heart
Happiness in his eyes
He was filled with profound gratitude
And thankful and grateful
There was always a light in his heart
From dusk to dawn
He was creative
And a friend
He gave everyone a spark of hope
But then there came a dark time
He had to hide
And didn't know why
There was outrage, evil, and doubt
Anger, and homeless and hungry children
He didn't know the reason
But he still tried to hold onto his spark
When no one else did.

Extended Metaphor

A Dream is a Fairytale

Everything goes
the right way

Like a prince
and a princess

Their love pulling,
pulling you in

But it finally gets good,
the fairy comes,
you wake up

It was too good to be true
